Udapt

Out now · New in Udapt 1.5

A morning reading, and a pace for race day.

If you don't wear your Apple Watch in bed, a 1-minute Breathe session when you wake can now stand in for the overnight reading. Run/walk lets you repeat a week whenever you like, race goals give you a pace for race day, and widgets show today's run, ride or swim.

Morning reading

No Watch in bed? One minute when you wake.

Your readiness compares your heart signals with your own last 10 readings, and until now they came from the night. Turn on the morning reading and a 1-minute Breathe session on your Apple Watch can stand in on mornings without one. The research behind it, and its limits.

  • When you wake: sit still for about a minute, then do a 1-minute Breathe session, sitting and breathing normally, before coffee, food or exercise. You don't need to follow the animation.
  • Your check-in asks whether you took it that way, on your iPhone or Apple Watch. If not, the reading doesn't count.
  • Morning readings are compared only with your other morning readings. On a day with both, the overnight reading is used.
  • Off until you turn it on in Settings › You and your goal. Only then does Udapt ask Apple Health for your Breathe sessions and their heartbeat timings.

Running

Repeat a week. Pace your race.

Run/walk follows the NHS's advice: you can come back to the plan at any time, and repeating a run or a week is fine.

  • Repeat a week: start this week or an earlier one again from its first run, whenever you like.
  • After a break, the plan carries on where you left off. It never moves you back on its own.
  • Race pace for race day: with a race goal from 5K to half marathon, Udapt gives a race pace from a race you ran in the past year. Set your goal before 1.5? Edit it and add when you ran your recent race.
  • Your training runs stay easy, by the talk test. On race day Udapt adds: "On a hot day, expect to be slower."

Also new

Widgets, privacy and a fix.

  • Widgets show today's run, ride or swim, and run/walk shows its week. Run days no longer say "Rest day".
  • Siri and Shortcuts now ask you to unlock your iPhone first, and Delete all my data also clears your Apple Watch.
  • Menopause mode: hot flushes and achy joints from your check-in were only kept when GLP-1 mode was on too. Fixed: they now show in "Your last two weeks" in Your readiness.
  • A thank-you: subscribed since before 13 October 2026, and your plan renews? Today has a card with a code for a free month, which starts at your next renewal.
